I had the honor of DJing at the Vidunder release party at Häng Bar in Malmö on May 25. It also happened to be almost exactly 10 years since I started DJing at that same bar, though formerly known as Bistro!
I had alot of issues with my self-esteem in those days. I had literally started to isolate myself from people because I was so terrified of hearing and handeling other people's rudeness and insecurity when it came to the benign tumour I have in my mouth-region. But my enormous love for quality music and wish to share it with people who share that same interest, made me sum up the curage to ask for a try as a DJ at Bistro, as I thought it could be the only thing to stop that destructive spiral of isolation. To deal with peoples rudeness and demeaning glances about my speech deficiency and oddly shaped face. Said and done, I made a good impression and the rest is, as they say, history.
Since then Ive had the pleasure of DJing for some of my favorite bands
(Nebula, Brant Bjork & The Bros, kamchatka, The Flying Eyes, Asteroid, Fuzz Manta,
Goatess, Graveyard and Øresund Space Collective to name a few) and collaborated with the most exciting bookers, escpecially Püssy a Go Go! So this gig was a great one thanks to the fabulous Vidunder-show and the awesome Häng Bar and its guests. And, as I realized that evening; a home coming to the place where it all began!
